Borrow a Headset
with your Personal Playlist!
Listening to the music of one’s youth has been shown to be helpful in relieving some of the neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia, such as depression, apathy, anxiety and agitation. Pomfret Public Library has headsets available for you to personalize and use at home.
Here’s how it works:
- create a playlist of 20-30 favorite songs
- download the playlist from Spotify to an SD card
- insert the SD Card in a rechargable wireless headset that you can borrow* for an extended time
Library staff/volunteers can assist with each step of the setup.
Please call the library if you are interested in borrowing an Alive Inside headset and we will get you started.
